I have been doing some research into cannabis patches, it appears that they are available but very few GP's will prescribe them. I understand that they can be of great benefit in alleviating pain due to R/A or back pain, both of which I suffer from, has any body got any knowledge about this treatment or give any opinion.

Cannabis patches
I did not realise that this topic had been discussed some time ago, my apologies.
I was not aware it had been discussed but thanks for bringing it up.... I know smoking cannabis is illegal class c- isn't it ?? But when steroids, cocdamol, ibuprofen, and morphine weren't working it was the only thing that gave me some relief- and the effects were long lasting from a small amount. I hate smoking but I found it really helpful when all else failed.... be interesting to hear other experiences.....
I'd definitely try it. I was told it would be awhile for my doctors to carry patches or oils. We have to spots of high land in out state to grow it. It's com I no for these reasons. I want to be first in line. I don't no if all doctors will agree to prescribe it or they will have to. I follow the sites on the Internet. Hope soon..
Ok? Are you happy to share where you read this Scorpius, either a link or author? I already use a transdermal patch for pain & this, if legal could be of interest to discuss with my GP.
I first read a report in a newspaper web site, from their I looked via google "cannabis patches". I have two collapsed disks in my spine and R/A the pain in my back is bad, the consultant is considering whether I should have cement inserted between the offending disks, to free the trapped nerve but the best I can hope for is 40% pain reduction, I have had this for the last 4 years and it ain't good. I have tried most pain killers morphine etc including injection into the spine but none offer a long term relief. I am clutching at straws.
