Im waiting to start Humira - 1st off they delayed it bcoz I was having a scan on my stomach (the results of that turned out ok) but Im waiting for the Home Healthcare nurse to ring to say when she is coming out to do 1st injection but now Ive got a hacking cough so I know they wont start the Humira. Meanwhile Im aching all over with the RA & so tired most of the time.

I thought the injection stayed at once every 2 weeks no one mentìoned upping it to weekly.

I have come off this drug , due to it not working . Ive known people who took it weekly or every two weeks. But good luck and hope its working for you .

Dear Hurtalot,

I do hope that Humira works for you. It is most common to take it every other week but it can be upped to weekly (by the consultant) if required. You can read more about Humira on the NRAS website - nras.org.uk/adalimumab-humira- or do call the NRAS Helpline if you have any concerns at all.

Best of luck,

How often do I need blood work taking humira

Morning hutalot,

It depends on the individual as to how often blood tests are done, e.g. what other medications you are on, if you have any other conditions etc. Your rheumatology team will tell you how often you need them so do get in touch if you're unsure.

best wishes, Emma

We all hope he's right and it'll help you. All the very best.

Best of luck with the new schedule... I am presuming that the initial dose was not doing everything the doc wanted it to, so we will keep our sore fingers crossed for you

If you are getting good results and tolerating the medication well then if this halts or slows the progress for you then that is wonderful for you.

Blessings
