Second week on Baracitinib gone and bloods all good! Things feeling and looking better. The excessive tiredness is still present and gp said that's more likely to do with the Fibromyalgia. Lots of stretching required. I try to live with RA in the present rather than think of days/weeks/months so forth ahead or in the past. It's here to stay until a cure is found but can be controlled.
I'm treating myself to a Turkish delight bar now - love them! especially just out the freezer. It's been a good day and for that I am grateful.

That's good to hear u are doing well .I'm off biologic secukinumab made me violently sick so waiting to c rheaumtoglist in Aug this is my 7th biologic not sure what's next iv been cold turkey since 12th April. Hope it continues to work for u amy
Hi Amy, sorry to read you haven't had much success with many biologics. Have you been offered Baracitinib? If not, it works in a different way from antI TNF drugs. It could be one to try. Ask your Rheumy about it and keep in touch.
I had my bloods done last thursday. Think I would have had a phone call from rheumy by now if anything was amiss.
Unfortunately I've started getting headaches and the odd sore throat, which I hope are not due to baricitinib. Keeping an eye on my temperature which is normal so far. I had sore throats with methotrexate but headaches are new to me. Will give it a bit of time and if things don't improve it might be best to get in touch with rheumy.
Hi Wishbone, the headaches may be a side effect as I also get them and this is new to me. Not as bad as a migraine but enough to take paracetamol which stops the ache. I'm sure you will be fine. Try not to worry as we know stress plays it's part in RA. Your GP should have the results through by now I would think. May be worth enquiring with your surgery.
Afraid the worrying got the better of me and I phoned rheumy this morning and spoke with a nurse who said he would get in touch with my consultant and get back to me. I haven't heard from him since...no news is good news as they say. He probably would have got back to me if there was anything to worry about. Had my repeat prescription though the door today so it looks as if my bloods are ok.
It's difficult not to worry...the last two occasions I was on meds I ended up in hospital with sepsis. The first time was the worst - woke up one morning and couldn't walk due to terrible pain in my hip that turned out to be septic arthritis. The scary part was that there were no symptoms to talk of...it just hit me like a bolt from the blue. The ambulance crew didn't want to take me to hospital as their obs were all normal. Luckily my GP phoned when they were still in my home and insisted they take me in.
