Today was a good day

I walked five miles today!

Geese, and dogs, the glassy river, Joggers and cyclists flashing by.

The old Abby; my favourite spot.

To sit and feel the psychic quiver. Of rushing clouds, red kites and buzzards floating.

I'm high on air.

And in the distance a herd of cows freeze framed as tiny dots.

My only issue was the awful psoriasis on my toenails. My toes were bleeding when I got home.

Apart from that...an OK day.

This is actually St Oswolds medieval church, in Widford. I put the wrong picture up! However this is an amazing old church, and a gorgious walk.

The ruined Abbey I went to is on Port Meadow, In Oxfordshire, I forget the name. But it's a fabulous spot.

When we lived nearby we used to go to Port Meadow a lot. Kite flying, free ranging cows. By the sound of it you werent bothered by floods?

Nope, not yet! 😄

Marvellous!

My beloved dad used to say to me 'bottle that moment'. When life is challenging I think back to those bottled moments!

I think RA had made me appreciate everything so much more. Simple things like a lovely walk with my dog mean everything to me.

A good day like yours is a real treat 😀

Ditto Jem95

When I get a good day, I run with it (almost!). Good days are a treasure.

I'm a bit achy with back pain today, but it's bearable.

May all your days be good days! 😊

I wish I could write like you. It ended so soon. Wow! That was a refreshing read. The choice of words, narration and the imagery. With such experiences who needs conventional meds!

Thank you. I used to write a lot, before being whacked with the Inflammatory illness stick. It kind of robbed my soul. But I'm slowly grabbing my soul back. 😄

I may start writing poetry again...who knows?

Pls do it again, you are gifted. I had also just started but was knocked back so hard I lost track.

Hello Hector, I am so pleased for you. No wonder a wonderful time like you had has brought out the poetic talent. Very pleasing to read. Have you got more? We all enjoy positive experiences. All the best.

in reply to stbernhard

I have loads, but hesitate to bore folks unless they are relevant.

Just keep them dripping in from time to time. Most of my days are very good, but I have no talent with words. Thank you.
