Allergy rash

Hi can anyone help or had this ...I've recently been put on naproxen and Co codamol...after roughly 2 weeks I came out in a bumpy rash..that itches when I get hot ..in creases by elbows and kneck...has anyone experienced this ??? Any ideas other than goin back to gp ...I've tried antihistamines

hi just seen your post yes i also have come out in a itcy rash i have been using eurax cream from chemist and it works for me but do check with doc or pharmacist u r on different medication from me i was putting mine down to tramadol but really dont know i am going to doc thurs for a ra review will ask there it seems to be worse of a night i tie my hair up in bed because of the itching round neck i never thought of trying antihistamines sorry not much help lv mary xx

To tell you the truth antihistamines not workin much...maybe it's a rash goin around ...pleade let me know how you get on ...I'm trying all different creams ..just not working. ..yes me to I tie my hair up because of it ...I thought mine was goin but spreading to different areas ..I'll be calling gp tomorrow for an appointment. .here's to a less itchy nite haha

yes i will definetly let u know what they say try and not scratch it easier said than done dont think its anything serious but very annoying my appointment on the 5th 3 30 will post when i get home have u got a flare up at the moment asking because i have wondered if it could be that yes lets hope less itcy nite hah lv mary xx

Not a big flare up no ... hips been playin up and groin as usual...but not as bad as it was...hoping it's the tablets an nothin else ..I try not to scratch but once you get hot it's all over haha tc

hello xsarnx i am back from docs and showed her them itcy patches she said it could be a touch of excema gave me some steroid cream and said come back in a few weeks if it dosnt go she wasnt concerned about it hope u managed to get appointment with your gp and that u feeling better than u was lv mary xx

Hi Mary thank you for your reply...still can't get to gp work friend off with bronchitis. ..so workin on my own...but definitely goin next week. ..I've got tea tree cream from chemist and antihistamines. ..feels a bit better thank you...it's still at night driving me crazy...glad you've got hopefully the right treatment and feel better soon...have a good day sarn xx

hi sarn yes will let u know if this cream works trouble is because its steroid i dont think any good for all over the body what work u doing hope the tea tree helps also antihistamines have a lovely day mary xx

also was wondering if it dry skin when i had shower earlier i used a load of oilatum which is a moisturiser lol see what happens xx

Have you tried stopping the meds...one at at time....to see if it goes?

Hi yes I stopped co codamol 4 days ago still getting it...now I've stopped naproxen as well to see what happens .. just takin stupid paracetamol and amatriptaline to see if rash goes ...if it does I'll try just co codamol then go to gp and tell him I've tried it all

I would check with your doc.

I've had all sorts of rashes; most I reckon, were medication induced. That said I also have a touch of psoriasis.

Do you feel ok?

Yes I feel fine...just tired as it keeps me awake at nite...once I get hot it itches like crazy....spreading to both creases of my arms elbows and kneck now...I can't get an appointment with gp till Thursday. .but chemist said try tea tree cream and antihistamines where it says skn allergy thank you for your reply

Hi I get an itchy rash too, just in one place , right elbow not in the crease but outer aspect, has come and gone over last few years. Use a steroid cream and it goes but boy does it itch !

Update on rash ....Been diagnosed with contact ecsma something I've sprayed eaten or taken has caused it . .had it round kneck creases of arm an legs...given steroid cream twice a day but apply thinly. ..and hydromol to wash an shower in ....left off naproxen so far so good
