Yep ! It looks pretty , can't wear it when I'm swollen and does zilch for arthritis!

Hi Amyfarqxo .

I bought one of these a few years ago cost me just over £60.

At first I thought it was working because I wanted to believe it was working.Plus my husband had already said I was wasting my money as they didn't work.I didn't want to be proved wrong. However he was dead right. When I married Mr Right I wasn't aware his first name was always!

There is not a shred of evidence anywhere to support the theory that these work or can produce medicinal results with arthritis.

However there is light at the end of the tunnel, the bracelet I bought is quite nice as a piece of costume jewellery and I wear it most days except when I have swollen joints,so my money wasn't totally wasted, but it has no medicinal qualities whatever.

So before you go out and spend potentially a large sum of money think carefully.

Take care

I've often looked at those bracelets ....especially when my fingers are like sausages....but I have learned to sit myself down & say that if any of these advertised cures/remedies worked some canny doctor would have made up some medical jargon, put his name to it, made a fortune & they'd be available in the NHS,

Boring I know...but I must have saved a fortune!

You hit the nail on the head there AgedCrone

If they were that effective they would have been handed out on prescription by now, we would all have one and arthritis would be a thing of the past---- if only!

Nothing boring about saving money.Good on you.

Take care.

If only I practiced what I preach Crusee - saving money!

I have just wandered around TK Maxx & ended up replacing all my kitchen glasses with dishwasher proof ones.,I tell myself it hurts my wrists to twist & turn washing up glasses & suddenly I am heading back to my car with a young man carrying my boxes of glasses!

All I need now is the Christmas Bubbly to put in them!

Ah I see you are like me AgedCrone ,well versed in the theory but yet to pass the practical--- lol! Well you can't be good at everything.

But having said that there are different categories of spending which may help justify what you have done.

1. The glasses come under medical expenses. How are you ever going to make any improvement in your wrists by continuing to twist and turn them during washing up? Consider this to be a positive move in the right direction and shows good initiative on your part by being proactive in your treatment.

2. Christmas Bubbly.--- This is mandatory expenditure.Something as important as purchasing new glasses should never be undermined by second rate plonk! It would be so rude.I was always told that good manners are very important and should always be maintained under all circumstances.

So there we have it expenditure justified and sanctioned. You havent wasted money at all.In fact you have probably saved some on washing up liquid to wash them as well as using the dishwasher for other dishes. You may have broken the other ones in the dishwasher and would have to replace them anyway-- more cost..And thirdly save on buying the drying towels, you don't need one with a dishwasher.

There you have been out shopping and look at all the money you've saved!

You can go again tomorrow.

Take care

You are so right ...girl after my own heart Priorities in the right place....and I did donate all my old glasses to the Hospice Shop at the tip!

I have just worked out the tumblers were the mind numbing sum of £1.665 each & the wine glasses & champagne flutes £2.165 each, so I have hardly broken the bank!

They are Italian & really look much more expensive - at least I think they do!

The real expenditure of course will come when I buy the liquids to fill them...but that will come under seasonal medical necessities won't it ?

See you've got the hang of it already AgedCrone -- lol.

It's simple, when you apply the correct principles.

I don't know why men complain so much, they just don't get it do they?

Nope they don't!

My ex would have spent £500 on glasses, £500 on booze, then complained when I bought Lobster to eat with the bubbles!

Better get on with my cheese sandwich now!

My husband had one, he's got OA and he thought it was a waste of money.

I also had one several years ago but unfortunately didn't do anything for me either. In fact the new John Lewis Christmas advert would be more successful in alleviating your discomfort but unfortunately it only lasts a couple of minutes!
