Flu shot while on methotrexate

I have been on mtx for 2 months now, taking 6 pills once a week, wondering if it's ok to get flu shot and pneumonia shot. I have had pneumonia twice so it's a good precaution. I was never one to get the flu shot, or the flu, but now that my immunity is compromised I am wondering if I should.

I'm on mtx and Benepali and get it every year better to be safe than sorry

My MTX booklet tells me to get flu and pneumonia jabs, but to avoid those which have live elements.

Just had mine. Saw the Practice nurse this morning for monthly drug monitoring bloods & although I was booked in for the flu jab on the 28th they'd already received the delivery so she gave it me there & then. I'm called automatically each year & so is my h as he's diabetic but our last GP Surgery recommended anyone in the family living in close proximity also had the jab whether they were at risk or not. I also questioned testing for Vit D levels whilst we were chatting because it was a year last March since the last one so that was done too.

My rummy has given me both. In fact he says I need to take flu shot every year.
