Over the bank holiday weekend I have won two singles honours in our lawn bowls club championship and came runner-up in a third one. This is after 7 years of being diagnosed with RA. The first two years I couldn't bowl at all and thereafter I was in pain most of the time. This year was the first I could play without having to be too conscious of every move I made. Knowing I won't feel terrible the day after a match was so wonderful. So there is a good life to be had with RA. I have a tailor made exercise program, to which I stick almost religiously, a fantastic RA team at the hospital and lovely people around me. Guess what? I am happy and lucky! All the very best to all of you.
