Another day resting.....

Am spending another day resting. I can't stretch very high as my back won't allow it. My handsare sore and my fingers don't like me bending them either. My back is still very sore so no gardening for me again,anyway Bob has sorted the lawn out and laid a new lawn and covered it up so the birdsdon't eat all the seed. My head is in a right place so one thing is ok. I saw my consultant Thursday while i was down the hospital with my daughter and he is going to get me a ultrasound scan on my hands urgently and some hand therapy as well.So another watching what you lovely people are getting up to while i sit on the sidelines,so anything funny posted would help keep me buoyed up. Love you all and thank you for your support.xxxx

Feet up nice cup of tea and watch the birds in the garden, do a bit of colouring - perfect! (Although I know you would rather be up and running!) So just for the day Sylvi. xx

There are new lambs in the field down the way and I'll try to get photos tomorrow if they're nearer the lane.

They're fun aren't they. These are a bit early for around here and they're being kept close to the farmhouse. Bet some people are having sleepless nights!

I helped my daughter out this morning she had not been able to start her fire , and had used all the kindling her husband had left for the two days . He wouldnt be here for. Fetched her some cardboard and small pieces of wood to start it. I broke some wood down and left her enough for in the morning. There is plenty there now if she needs more splitting her daughter will do it. If they are at work she will ring me, as she cannt touch the wood its been outside. My hands are killing now. Just to make a liar of me my husband cooked the dinner, whilst i spread the bread and made the tea.

Hope you have long rests and leave the work to your hubby as he is very good.

She's not doing too bad. They are pleased with her progress at the hospital, has to go every week for bloods and there is always something else for her to do. They have told her she can drive if she feels she can, and when she feels safe. So as to break the boredom she potters around the house and wipes things down and may even try cooking. Only when her husband is there to take over when she has had enough. She must be feeling a wee bit better as she is doing a lot of moaning because nobody cleans like her. She has got to have another bone marrow test done as they want to see what her platlettes are doing because they are not rising very high. They are staying lower than 20 which is better than it was.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today, and are still resting.

Still resting and i am still very uncomfortable with my back,but i will get there darling. Glad your daughter is doing well even if it is too slow for her. I know what she means when nobody does it like she does.xxxxx

I have only been a member of this site for approx 1 week but I am so glad I discovered it,and quite by accident.Everyone on here seems very supportive of one another in a way that the fit and healthy do not always appreciate.I too am having another resting day.Went to a family funeral on Friday-husband drove us 4 and a half hours to the place,held the funeral and then 5 hours back in the car.Traffic was dreadful on the motorways.I could have done without going really but it would not have been appropriate to miss it.So yesterday I had a duvet day on the sofa.Stayed in my pyjamas all day,lots of cups of tea,tv and my colouring books.Legs are still swollen and painful again today but I am a bit more mobile and so later on will try to catch up with yesterday's jobs.I will just have one more cup of tea...............

I have had twon days of resting and still my back is bad,so a little movement today and colouring books. I should have been going to Birmingham this afternoon to a colouring do in Forbes bookshop,but i don't think that is going to happen as i don't fancy the train ride from Coventry and i don't want to disturb my back more thank it is. Thank you Sylvi.Tempting as it sounds to attend the colouring afternoon it may be wise to give this one a miss and wait until your back is better.Its always difficult to find the balance between what you want to do and can actually manage to do- body allowing.
