Someone close to me has given me some info in America they did a study and said people with fibromyalgia may have a food allergy or food intolerance as fibromyalgia is one of the symptoms of it.

Food allergy
I would agree but have no scientific evidence. You've nothing to loose by trying to cut out the most likely allergens as long you ensure you still have a balanced diet.
You might want to read The Paleo Approach by Sarah Ballantyne. She explains autoimmune disease and suggests that symptoms can be managed by removing certain foods. She suggests going on a pretty strict elimination diet until your autoimmune symptoms go away, then to slowly reintroduce foods, one at a time, to figure out what are your triggers (these are defined by the individual). I fully believe that she is right, but I honestly haven't been able to stick to the diet longer than 2 months. I try to do my best with diet (I avoid all grains, legumes, refined sugars and dairy as my non-negotiables) and things are well controlled for me with the combination of diet and meds.
Personally, I think autoimmune diseases (RA, coeliac, lupus, fibro, etc) are more linked than we believe and it would be better if we could get a group for AI issues (and a single doctor that could treat autoimmune diseases. But that's another discussion!
Hi FINNlin,
It might be worth getting in touch with Fibromyalgia Action UK fmauk.org/ to see if they are aware of this research and can tell you more about it.
