For the last couple of days my jaw has been locking in the morning. It pops the first couple of times I yawn and then it's fine.
This morning both sides are locked and I can pop them but they immediately lock again. It's giving me a headache and the popping sensation makes me feel sick.
Anyone else had this? Will it go away?

Sounds like your TM joint might be the problem. Mine used to go into spasm and the dentist gave me a splint to wear at night as I was grinding my teeth. Helped with my headaches and with the joint pain. Your dentist might be worth talking to?
Hi
There is some useful information on the NHS Choices site nhs.uk/conditions/temporoma... - hopefully as the info suggests this is something that is temporary but as the jaw can be affected by RA it is probably a good idea to mention this to your rheumatologist when you next have contact. nras.org.uk/jaw-problems
Thanks for the replies. My boss is an orthopaedic surgeon and he said TMJ issue too.
It hasn't done it again today so I wonder if it's something I'm doing in my sleep, possibly clenching my jaw. I've got a docs appointment anyway so I think I'll mention it. It's just so unpleasant!
