Sore throat

Hi. Just after advice. Have had recurrent sore throat for over 3 weeks. Am on Mtx and Tocilizumab. Tonsils red and very swollen. It's disturbing my sleep as making me snore!! Should I see GP or ride it out??

Go to GP , you might need antibiotics , if not nothing lost. Get well soon

The medication you are on compromises your immune system so do go to your GP who will probably recommend antibiotics. You should be able to see a GP quickly especially if you explain about the medication you are on.

I was always told when on mthx if a sore lasted more than 48 hours to see a dr.
