NRAS has been asked to let you know of an exciting opportunity for people living with chronic pain or injury in and around Cheltenham. Adult Star Singers' choir leader Frances Bennett lives with chronic pain herself and is keen to share her love of music and singing and sense of humour with others. She is starting a new choir for those living with pain, disability or injury as well as their carers. Men and women of all ages are more than welcome to attend.

Starting Thursday 17 Sept 1 to 2pm Uckington & Elmstone Hardwicke Village Hall GL51 9SR. £ 55 per term.

I sing, and I must say it does help. :) Also, through my work we grant fund singing for mental health and Alzheimer's, because there is good evidence of benefits. I don't know what it is about singing and the brain, but it does indeed seen to have positive effects. :)

Hi Clare I've just come across your post a few years to late I'm sure :( but do you still have the adult star singers group going ? I love singing & it's the only thing keeping going through my ordeal. I live in Cheltenham & struggling to find fellows close to me struggling all the same. I'm based on the village road, near The cross hands pub. X
