Gtech hoovers

Those of you who have one of these hoovers, have you found they get noisier over time, I've had mine since April and it appears to be really noisy now than it used. I thought I pose the question here before I contact Gtech and request an engineer.

Hmm. I hadn't noticed. I will ask our extractor expert at work who recommended the g tech to me and let you know.

Yes, I'm sure mine wasn't as noisy when new. I'm also wondering if I should contact GTECH

To be honest I'm very disappointed in mine, had to go back to mynDyson. G tech is definately noisier, not picking up so well and having huge problems changing the filters !! All,in all a right load of expensive rubbish !! Xx

Have you cleaned the filters in the top by twisting the slot and tapping the foam filter to get the dust out , it might be working harder if you have not done this .

I was considering getting one of these but Mum got one first. I'm glad I didn't because although they are light to carry I found using it hurt my arm and wrist.

Not had one moments problem with mine!. I bought it in January, treated myself from my PIP back pay. You are cleaning the filters & washing them aren't you? I think in the blurb it recommends once a month but I'm not as fastidious & only done it a couple times. I am amazed though how much fine dust there is when I knock all the dust from the filters & clean the filter holders. The only other thing I can think of otherwise is to check the brushes for anything wound round them. The Gtech support team at are extremely helpful though. My f-i-l's wouldn't charge up so he rang them & they sent him a replacement free of charge. Turned out he was trying to charge it with another charger he has!

I will have a good look at all of the filters and brushes.
