Enbrel

Hi, has anyone noticed that their weight has increased when taking Enbrel? I am on 15mg mtx and also started Enbrel 6 months ago and have found my weight going up by about 5lbs, could just be the winter, but not really eating much as my appetite seems to have diminished but not my weight!

I have not increased in weight but gradually lost weight and what has come off stayed off. This could possibly due to my changing a few things rather than medication. I am on Leflunomide with enbrel injections.

Just a thought - I lost a stone really quickly just after stopping Leflunomide. I'd been taking the drug for less than 3 months and I know it does stay in the body a fair while, so eventually I came to the conclusion that Leflunomide was responsible for the weight loss. It was a very odd experience as my weight has been stable for many years. Gradually I returned to my normal weight.

Yes, I have gained weight since starting enbrel,, I never seem to be full any more, and because I am always hungry, I have gained weight.

Thanks for your replies. I guess it affects people differently. Trying to cut out all fattening things, but only have a small appetite so weight gain does not seem to make sense.
