Taking methotrexate and now to add sulfasalazine
When I was taking Sulphasalazine, I took them every day. One a day for the first week, two for the second week and so on until I was taking 4 a day. Mind you, I wasn't on Methotrexate then. Call the NRAS help line 08002987650.
Yes, with me I take sulfasalazine 6 tablets a day and methotrexate once a week and the frolic acid the day after my methotrexate, but I never stop taking any.
I hope they work for you as mine have for me.
yea i'm on sulfasalazine it started of at 1 a day then for 1 or 2 weeks then it went up to 2 a day and so on untill i was on 3 two times a day, but when they put my methotrexate up to 20mg a week they cut the sulfasalazine back down to 1 two times a day
When you pick up the prescription it should clearly say what the doc thinks you should take. If not you should double check. But unlike MTX, sulphasalazine is usually taken daily, either once or twice. Generally people are prescribed between one and six tablets a day.
Ahhh just got my script n i take the sulfasalazine daily n mtx weekly like u said. Got myself in a tizz over nothing
it should have when and how to take it on the enclosing sulfaxalazine leaflet..
