Speak to your RD nurse on the helpline you can have the fluidly drained and maybe have steroid injections in both ankles. I personally have not had this done but know of others who have.
hi, another person of help with this is the occupational therapist, your G.P. or Reumy will put you in touch, They got me some wrist splints, they work, in fact they are called "workers splints". As for the ankle, I have bought many braces, and even had a brace made for me buy the hospital orthotics, but not a successful item, as can't get any shoes on with them. Only treatment now is replacement ankle. or a fusion.hope this info: is of help. good luck Rita
Hi thanks for reply. I should have said I can't have steriod jab. Had it in both knees made me so ill I was admitted to hospital. Had to have it taken out. So not allowed it .
I hope this helps but I know RA attacks the veins. My husband has lymphadema and has to have treatments to move the fluid from the feet and ancles. It wraps around the feet and legs and gently massages the fuild out from the area that otherwise would not move on his own. RA is more than bones it's tissues as well as veins. Try leg and feet compression socks it may help. I hope you find comfort we all need any information we can. RA is not one size fits all kind of treatment.
it could be edema inthenameofsport.com/blog/e...
There could a be range of causes if it is caused by circulation problems then it is probably best to go see a gp about it.. then again you probably wont know what is causing it until you see a gp anyway.
