Well I have been of work now science last week in March on methatrexate enbrel and now steroids again I have good days bad days and get fed up when things get the better of me now I have a rotten cold and it's my sons wedding on Friday all I can say is I hate RA pain swelling stiff joints such joy why oh why want it settle down

Feel so sorry for you, I can't give you any advice as I am not a sufferer,my daughter in law is, I look on here to see if I can help her in anyway, I found this site by looking on the kidney problems site which is also run by HealthUnlocked, they are both such useful sites. I just felt for you so much, I do hope that by Friday you will be over this flare up and are able to enjoy your sons wedding, and you all have a brilliant day. Best wishes.J.

What a thoughtful & caring mother in law you are. I lost mine last February & was only working out the other day I had her for longer than my own mum. Good ones are worth their weight in gold & I was very fortunate as is your daughter in law.

Oh I feel for you with such an important occasion soon & a cold to boot. All I can suggest is dose yourself up as much as you can with the meds you're on & try to rest up before Friday & hopefully your body will respond.

All I can do is offer the same advice as above. Try to rest and avoid any stress if you possibly can. I really hope that the steroids kick in and you get some relief before Friday. Are you able to contact a nurse specialist? They may check with the consultant to see if your steroid dose needs adjusting. I had an amazing improvement within 48 hours once the dose was increased. I do hope you have a good day and will be thinking of you.
