Good morning. I've been awake since 5am! Not so much with pain thankfully, rather the wind and rain bashing my window! Hate the cold now :( I never used to bother before RA. It makes me laugh when I hear that Consultants/ GP's etc say such things! Wonder if your Consultant has RA? The cold, damp weather most certainly does affect my joints and my whole body feels pain with this type of weather. The sun has the opposite affect. X

I have had RA for some 30 years and every time I go to a tropical, i.e.hot, country within 4 hours of arrival my joints are much improved. I am sure that it is just the warmth

Sun very much affects me in a positive way too! I love Scotland. If only the summers were longer....

My first post, l must admit the heat bothers me more with my RA. I have osteoarthritis in my knees, which plays up with the cold and damp. I guess everyone is different?

So I’m not a weird case after all 🙃x x

Morning definitely affects my joints although extreme heat does too. My consultant acknowledges both. Early morning for me as well poorly hips 😖

Cold might not affect RA clinically, but it does practically......getting up, showered & dressed in layers of winter clothes, even in centrally heated houses....is much more difficult when every joint is hurting ithan just popping on a summer dress & seeing blue skies!

My right hand and wrist and shoulder swells in the cold. My scans showed significant synovitis in those areas. The cold weather affects me.

Yeah! Not only cold but damp makes a big difference to how my joints are. I've managed on my etoricoxib every other day until a few weeks ago, taking it every night now. Warm weather is so much better, as long as it's not humid.

I can’t tolerate cold ❄️ not anymore ❄️. To think I mucked our stables before day light and rode in all weathers the cold really hurts me now . I didn’t suffer RA then but I still don’t have a choice on braving the cold x
