My right hand ring finger is now quite deformed and very painful.
Also, is it common for the pain to be worse in warm weather?? If so, why???

Hi I am so pleased you asked about warm weather. I am laying in bed thinking why have my joints started filling with fluid and why do they feel sore. Let's hope someone tells us about the weather. Keep smiling
Carol
My hands are sooo painful this morning, its 21c & very humid,so not sure if its the heat, humidity,or the fact I have a rheumy appointment at 10am! But I have notice that I have more pain/swelling in warm weather.
I find humidity can affect me similarly to a damp atmosphere. I used to live in Spain & the humidity we had in August & September was at times 90odd% & was hellish for my joints. I also found I was less toleratant of heat & used to sweat profusely, odd as I never found it a problem years ago, can only think it was the meds.
I also have a deformed ring fingers and I have some of the gloves but they are very painful on my deformed knuckles so I cannot use them
Last year, during a heatwave, my joints swelled terribly and I was in an awful lot of pain. Doctor told me that the heat was making the fluid in my joints expand and that was why it was extra painful. Never heard that before but it made sense to me.
Well this is all very interesting folks! Would never have expected my joints to be worse in WARM weather. But it does make sense, on reflection.
Now, back to my original question, which was about infrared gloves for when the joints hurt in the COLD weather! Any experience to offer peeps?
