Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory arthritis. There are quite a few of them. I have psoriatic arthritis which is also inflammatory.

Have you been diagnosed with an inflammatory condition?

Sorry just read your post again and see you have been diagnosed.

The answer I gave to someone else recently was that inflammatory arthritis is like a big bowl of fruit. And in that bowl are lemons, like rheumatoid arthritis, as well as other fruit. So you could have an orange, like psoriatic arthritis, but you'd still be in the same fruit bowl.

Hope your treatment works well.

That's a really good analogy helix!

Thanx not sure what fruit i am but definitely in the bowl. I am often referred to as a “fruitcake” though.

Kind regards

Mine is labelled 'sero negative inflammatory arthritis' and I think it is because I don't have the rheumatoid factor. Label does not bother me as long as I can get appropriate treatment.

Leeds is known for the lengthy delays in giving a diagnosis. I have seen some grievances online.
