I was feeling better today, so decided to do some yardwork.

I am taking methotrexate, plaquel Enbril, prednisone and gabapentin

I was using a pair of scissors as hard as I could to break up a root. After many unsuccessful attempts I accidentally stabbed the scissors in my hand between my top thumb knuckle and my wrist. Besides the pain throughout half my hand, my concern is infection. I was told being on Enbril you can get infections very easy so my thought was just keep it clean and keep an ion it. Has anybody got a bad cut while being on these medications and having a poor result like infection?

Ok I know it was stupid!!! Lol

Ouch!! Best to seek advice if it starts to look angry but meanwhile clean the wound well with salt dissolved in water as hot as you can stand (without burning yourself - don't want to add to your pain). If you've got any tea tree oil give it a good wipe with that after, it's a natural antiseptic and my hero in the first aid box. Hope it heals quickly.

Ty!! I went to the clinic. I nicked a tendon. They said it was good I went in. Got antibiotics they said it could use I stitch or two. But they don't do it. So all is well Hand hurts but that's the way it goes when you play with scissors. Lol

OMG just as well you went then. Keep an eye on it though and maybe invest in tea tree oil, it's a good standby product especially for any nicks & scratches from the garden. Flowers are beautiful but they need muck to grow in! Childrens round ended scissors for you then from now on!!!

Lol no more scissors for me! I will get some Teatree oil I know that's very good. The antibiotics were too expensive so I'm going to get them on Monday where I can get them for less half-price. Hopefully no infection will set in. Thank you all for your good advice. As I was tempted to do nothing.
