I have been given the go ahead for Enbrel, so now just waiting for the phone call, my consultant was going to order it this afternoon. She also told me to stop taking Sulpha and Hydroxy now.
Anyone know how long I will have to wait ?
Any advise would be most welcome.

Hi nellysgran I've just started Enbrel. Had 3 injections so far. My consultant gave the go ahead for them towards the end of Jan so I reckon it took almost 2 months before I actually got them delivered and started to use them. I guess it might vary though.
Hurrah! It took a few month for mine tocome in my area as they have to apply for the finance. But I hope your area is different, eg my nurse ordered it not the consultant so yours might be quicker. I found it easy to use and it helps quickly. Xx
I'm in Ediniburgh and in the same boat. Mine is due on the 23rd April, and I've had to wait about a month. It would be good to compare notes. I'm just on pred and am not sure what to do, whether to keep on with them or not. I'd prefer to keep taking them because I'm not in a good state without!
Hi Cathie, yes I was told yesterday that they would order the Enbrel and as soon as I had it delivered I had to phone my consultant, she also said to stop my sulpha and hydroxyl, but I will be in agony if I stop them until the Enbrel is here, its bad enough now, so i'm not going to stop other meds till I know when the Enbrel will start.
don't want to put a damper in things but i had to wait nine months for mine.....well i had to wait nine months for my first bio, Humira.i had to come off bio's three times and only had to wait 6 weeks in between them. hope you get a good response. i'm on Abatacept now and it has given my my life back.....was out dancing (well nearly dancing) last saturday night and planning to do the same next saturday!! i can't jive anymore but i can stand up straight now and shake my bum......sure these days this is what they call dancing, isn't it?
