I would like to now some common side effects and how manageable they are, also the benefits as my RA is far from under control,my inflammation markers have been very bad peaking at nearly 400 after i had major surgery.
Has anyone been prescribed Adalimumab?: I would like to... - NRAS
Has anyone been prescribed Adalimumab?
Humira didn't give me any side effects whatsoever, but didn't do enough to bring my RA inflammation down so I am changing to another (non Anti-TNF med) but think Humira has done great things for many of the people on this site. Try typing Humira or Adalimumab in the Search box at the top right and hopefully some helpful posts will encourage you. Good luck.
Thank you Hawkeye .. I hope my new med kicks in in time to be out and about in Summer! Would be nice. The funding hasn't been a problem for Humira or anti-TNF's in my area of West Yorkshire, UK. I am not sure where you are. Obviously the rheumatologist and your other consultant would need to be satisfied you do not have any conditions which could prevent you from being on certain anti-TNF's but there are quite a lot to choose from so I am sure you would be well looked after and monitored. The initial injections/clickpens are done by the rheumatologist or Healthcare at Home nurse so in case of any reactions which I was told tend to happen pretty quickly if they are going to. I never felt any adverse effects of either Enbrel or Humira. I think they are very well tolerated on the whole. The NRAS biologics fact pages are excellent for giving you the knowledge you need about these meds. Good luck and hope all goes well. Let us know! Julie
