The team here at NRAS are extremely saddened to hear that Fiona or Ronnie63 as she was known here, passed away on Sunday after being diagnosed with cancer.
Fiona was a member of NRAS and valued member of the RA community here on Health Unlocked. She was always very supportive of her friends and other forum users and it is clear she will be very sorely missed.
Our thoughts go out to her family and all of you who knew her.
Ruth will some one from NRAS be going to the funeral on our behalf please. Thank you for letting us know.xxx
Hi Sylvi,
Unfortunately it wouldn't be possible for us to attend but as Fiona was a member of NRAS we have her contact details and will be writing to her family to express our condolences in this way.
Very sad news Ronnie63 was one of the first to respond to my cry for help when I was diagnosed last year.
God bless her may she rest in peace! xx
Fiona was always very supportive of me when I was down, both on the public forum and in private messages. I'm truly very saddened by the news of her passing. A lovely lady with a beautiful heart and a generous nature.
Love and best wishes to her family xx
Hi All,
Yes of course we can send the messages from here with our letter. I think Lorann's post probably have the most tributes so I can take them from there as well.
Further to Ruth's message, we have discussed this as a team in the office and as this is a difficult time for Fiona’s family we have made the decision to let them know in our letter that there are messages from you all on here and we will send these over at the family’s request.
We felt that sending all the information just now might be a bit too much for them, but I am sure the family will appreciate knowing that she was so cared about and that people took the time to post, and we will leave the option of sending this to them open for whenever they are ready in the future.
