Be part of a brand new TV Show

I've been in contact with Optomen TV who are currently working on a brand new tv programme for Discovery TLC Channel.

The show intends to explore different medical conditions that are misunderstood and will look at the causes, treatment and what it is like to live with the condition.

As part of the show, they would like to talk to people affected by these conditions and they are considering both Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). If you are over 18, live in the UK and would like to take part in the show, you can request an application form by emailing healthshow@optomen.com.

If you are successful or put forward, please let me know by emailing daniela@nras.org.uk

Thanks guys!

Sounds interesting & a good way to raise awareness if it's done in the right way. If anyone's considering taking part, I'd ask what the name of the documentary is going to be (as they can be sensationalist which alters the tone) and whether you can watch the segment that you're in prior to broadcast. Also, will you paid for taking part/perhaps the production company would consider making a donation to NRAS? Obviously things will be edited. If you're filmed doing things, good to be shown doing activities with friends & family rather than just in a hospital setting. Speaking from experience as I used to do PR for a health charity. All the best, Fran

Hi Zaggill, I am sorry that email address does not work as it is the one provided. However, you can also give them a call on 0203 227 5993.

Hope that helps.
