Does anyone suffer with a sore chest?

I am not sure if it's the methortrexate or RA, But for some time now I get a sore chest in the morning & a cough, I have increased my dose in the last 3 months & my chest seems to be worse the day after taking the methortrexate. Would appreciate any help.

Hi, sorry to hear you are struggling. This sounds like something you should be asking your rheumatologist or specialist nurse. Have you got a helpline number? If not, leave a message with the consultant's secretary. At the very least, you should consult your GP.

Take care, Dotty x

Hello to you!

After I started on RA meds, I began to have soreness around my ribs and a dry cough. After time, my cough progressed and I began to produce some green mucus from my lungs. I ended up straining and bruising some cartilage and muscles in my chest. It felt like a broken rib, but has almost healed now. Since then, I no longer have soreness around my rib cage. Weird, but I think it is all a progression of the treatment. Things seem to get worse before your body adjusts and you start feeling better. I hope this is the case for you, but always bring these things up to your doctor or nurse.

Hope you feel better soon!

=)

You might be right it does take our bodies time to adjust, I was okay on 10mg but as I'm going up it's getting harder. But thank you for taking time to reply.
