Hi All I've become very sensitive to chemical smells in soaps and other cleaning products, especially anti-bacterials.

The smell seems to stick in the back of my throat, I can sort of taste it and it makes me feel very sick. I'm on Metoject and Hydroxy, the latter's dose was halved 8 months ago because of nausea (which helped) and I was given injectable MTX for the same reason. Any one else experienced this? Is it the RA, the medication, or something else entirely?

I had this problem with 'smells' on Mtx - I had to cover my nose in the cinema 'cos the smells of popcorn and hot dogs made me heave. I also became intolerant to thinks like the smell of perfume or aftershave. I haven't taken Hydroxy. My brother had these issues when he was having chemotherapy for cancer.
