What is you most embarrassing outfit. mine was probally a pychadelic dress in vivid blue and pink...Over to you........
Embarrassing.......................: What is you most... - NRAS
Embarrassing.......................
Yellow & purple jumpsuit with matching shoes......what was I thinking!!!
Mine was when my daughter was christened, I wanted to look like a yummy mummy and bought this bright pink dress that I thought made me look like one it was more nylon than any other material. When I look back at that photo I cannot for the life me think what possessed me to purchase it. I look awful, colour does not suit and I look extremely old, older than I look now!
Good, fun stuff!! Mine was a sailor jumper and flared navy blue skirt with an anchor on it., worse than that I went to the school dance and another girl had it on too!
Mine was a white dress with boats all over it and french writing (well I think it was french) hopefully no photos of this still exist. It was the 70s lol
Electric blue skin tight (spray on almost!!) leather trousers!...OMG....I thought I was the bee knees!! (70's again!)................Tee heee
This is a fun question - probably a mermaid outfit to a fancy dress party in my earlier twenties - I wore a silver dress with a tail (!), long silver gloves, and made shell earrings and a necklace to wear. It was the tail that made it embarrassing to wear but it was a memorable party!
Bright pink catsuit oh my god I must have looked a sight x
A green spotted dress with a peter pan collar bought for a Christening, it was mostly nylon and it clung in all the wrong places, I cringe when I look at the photos now. That was about 40 years ago !!! ;-( x
I graduated wearing a gown, a nice little black dress and flat black suede ted shoes! They look awful and I had to put my graduation pics away whenever I went to visit my nan or my parents - I look like I've had my feet cut off. Always struggled with heels even at that age but these great clumping things sticking out from under my gown with shortest legs known to womankind - how embarassing!?
My graduation picture is also horrid, for some unknown reason I got my hair cut very short! So there's just tiny strands of hair showing but mainly just the hat. But my mum insists on showing it off at he top of her stairs! I cringe every time I visit!
What fun ladies.xxx
Hello Sylvie,
I've been a bit quiet of late because I wanted to give Enbrel a chance before writing anything here. Anyway, I can never resist joining in with a bit of light-hearted fun.
My embarrassing memory is of a bright turquoise dress and coat and gunmetal colour shoes and matching hat which I wore for my daughter's wedding. On the day everyone kept telling me that I looked like Maggie !! I really can't bear to look at the photo's I'm in !
Hope things are a bit brighter for you Sylvie. June xx
Bright yellow quite full skirt, white blouse, long bright yellow cardigan - for my sisters wedding. Must have looked like a ginormous lump of butter. Only thing that makes that any better was knowing that it was the early 80's and loads of folk were wearing weird stuff.
Ahhh all this talk of "Yellow!"....reminds me of a pale lemon jumpsuit I loved to wear when travelling (Long haul !)....until some one at the air port asked me if i was a decorator!!!!........I was devastated.....But I cant think why now it was hideous its a wonder i was allowed back into the UK!!!!!...LOL
Such fun all these outfits....would we ever wear them again....for a dare!! Lol!! xx
Me too Sylvi......I was like a stick in those days!!.....now I'm more like a chunky branch!!!..LOL....Tho since I've had Gallstones I've managed to lose a stone!!!.......Also the steroid allowed me to move about nearly "Normally!!"....but alas all good things come to an end.........grrrr...
In my defence, I was only about 16 at the time. My friend's mum gave me a beautiful silk nightgown she'd had as a young girl so vintage 30's/40's glam. I thought it was far too good to hide away indoors so decided to wear it as a maxi dress. Trouble was, It was several sizes too big up top as said lady was of the ample bosom type and I was more bee stings. Decided therefore it would be a jolly good idea to borrow a truly hideous purple paisley polyester smock thing my mum had made and wear it over the top. I thought I looked fabulous in a floaty hippy sort of way but my mum nearly died of mortification when I met someone she knew whilst wearing the wonderful ensemble.
nice post sylvi.. think mine have been cleavage disasters lol x
Mine was more of a wardrobe malfunction..........
Tight jeans, short t-shirt, muffin top, slippery soles on ankle boots, skidded on platform at tube station, did the splits, one leg on the train, the other on the platform, doors shut on leg, jeans burst open, whole muffin exposed!! Had to carry on the journey as traveling to school to sit A level exam................what a carry on
Great post Sylvi xx
Hi Sylvi, I had loads of bad outfits but the one I remember most is a blue dress with pink flowers on it and when we returned to my house after the event along with some friends I nearly died because my livingroom wallpaper was the exact same colour and pattern as the dress.
Had a good laugh reading this post.
