Thankyou everyone for all your messages of support, I will let you know what happens to sis and self, both waiting on appointments. Meanwhile our baby brother who is aged 61 (still the baby though!). Is gettied married again on 12 August, having lost his first wife to breast cancer 3 years ago, and we are both looking forward to that very much. Nothing will stop us being there for him, and besides we have both bought outrageous fascinators to wear on the day. However my feet are a total nightmare and I am still trying to track down a pair of low heeled, weddingy sandals that will fit me. I can hardly turn up in my comfy EEE hotter sandals can I ?

Where not wear your comfy sandals, you are there for your brother and that's what matters, I am sure he would want you to be comfortable.
