HI ALL, Hope all is well as can be, I am looking for any hints to try and lose my steroid belly I have cut steroids from 65mgs to 15mgs exercise and walk daily I eat healthy as this is good for my Rheumatoid Arthritis as well. exercises for the belly are agony for me and my lungs don't like it either, Mattcass

hee hee, maybe no one is admitting it! the steroids immediately gave me a lump under my rib cage and the doc said it was the steroids, but cant live without them, so i am just a big Budda xx

My stomach was swollen and painful on steroids (been taking them for much of this year due to meds not working) especially after I ate- I had to sit on the edge of the couch and lean forwards, breathing was difficult, my heart pounded and jumped about scarily and when I went to bed it was like sleeping on a beachball! I did get a bit of reflux too.

Told my rheumy all my symptoms and he gave me Omeprazole. I was a bit suspect as reflux/heartburn was only a lesser symptom but literally within hours of taking the first dose my stomach was a lot less swollen and most of the pain and all of the soreness had gone. I've never taken a drug that worked so well so quickly! I'm much more comfortable now, no more beachball belly! XXX
