NRAS ,, day out ...

i remember last year a few did speak about this briefly ,, an at the time it did seem a popular idea .. to arrange a weekend / day out , get together , a chance for us all to meet our cyber friends .. but a decision was made that we would all talk about this , when the warm weather arrives in the spring ..

well spring is here ... anybody got any ideas on location`s ? or what to do or go and see ?? after all i think we all need a mini break from time to time and all getting together i think would make for a very pleasent weekend something we all need ...

so lets have some ideas and thoughts and get planning ... :)

What about somewhere like birmingham as it is quite central and there are plenty of trains going in and out of there.xxx

Hi Andy, sounds like a really good idea.....a great chance for fellow RA sufferers to talk to people who really understand what we go through.

Just wondering on logistics etc as I suspect we are all dotted over the country!

Maybe those that are interested put their location in this blog...then we could decide where is the best location.

I'm in Camberley, Surrey.

yea !! with everybody dotted around the country ,, it can be abit tricky ,, sylvi idea about keeping it central is good .. or maybe do two ,, one in the north and one in the south .. or one in scotland ... im sure with more ideas and thoughts we can work something out between us ..

i`m in york ,, north yorksire ...

Fab idea Andy :))) would be really good for everybody ...as u know I'm an Essex girl ..I'm ok with pretty much anything you decide but for me I guess London as sooooo many trains etc x

I'm from Chessington, a two minute drive away from the Theme park and hotel, if you fancy a day trip!

I know NRAS have a members day planned for September I think and that's in Birmingham so would it not be a good idea for us all to meet at the members day and then maybe to dinner together after?

Birmingham is a fare trek for me but I was thinking off booking a travel lodge for the night

Bloody IPad! When I press submit, it just stays there, so I go out of it, back in and it's still there so submit again & again. Argh! At least it deletes first time. Lol.

Brum looks good to me. Central and good tRansport links. Just have to make sure there's no big events on at the NEC or the hotels get booked solid.

Ye andy I'm in stokesley so could pick u up on route maybe. Memberd day sounds a good idea but thinking of the scottish contingency, will that be hard for them again?

Would be lovely to have you all at our Members' Day! I think RA-Fibro has already posted a link to my blog which tells you more about it but, if you are interested in attending, do email membership@nras.org.uk and we can reserve places for you. We do appreciate Birmingham isn't convenient for everyone and, as last year's event took place in the South East (Berkshire), we will be moving the Members' Day even further north next year so that as many people as possible have an opportunity to attend.
