Hiya Carole, I have just had my second jab. I finding I am more sore at the minute, just hoping that means it is doing something!!! See the Rheumy Friday so will know more. But I think the swelling has gone down and I am cold instead of hot! What about you?

Hi thanks for a quick reply feels so good talking with people. I have had 4 injections, my joints have started to feel good I was worried it was the steroid jab I had 8 weeks ago but feel that must have worn off by now so the humira must be working. This past 2 weeks I have started to feel so tired and no energy, hope its not the humira or maybe my body is getting used to the drug. Hope it works for you please keep in touch, Carole x

Hi Carole. I have had one jab so far but too early to say. Hoping it works. Restarted metho injection. It is definately that one that is causing the problem. Problem with left leg so this will be a test for the new drug.

Azathioprine for a week so far and Rituximab which I started last month and they both take 3 to 4 months to kick in I am told unlike humira which can be almost straight away

I have been on Humira for nearly a year and it works for

my R.A. But I have had some side effects, but you may

have none, everyone reacts in a different way. Early on

I had sinusitis, O.K now. Then I had intense itching, arms

and legs, O.K. now. And last I had loads of massive cold

sores, am on an anti-viral tablet and O.K. now. So I just

want to say if Humira works for you, stick with it and you

can hopefully deal with any side effects! Good Luck.

Thanks for your reply it was good to hear how soon did you get reactions from your first jab. Carole

Hi, The Sinusitis was quite soon after first jab. But it is listed as a poss.

side effect. I see Jeanabelle says she felt she "could jump over a row of

houses", that is how I feel and I hope it works for you.....you will be

amazed at the improvement.! Just be ready for anything.

Humira was great for me..... I felt like I could jump over a row of houses I was so, so good. Now the bad part...... After my third week I very suddenly, with out any warning at all, I had projectile vomiting. What a shock, really no warning. I FONED my rheumy nurse and was told to stop right away. I have been on three biologicals since that. But I have high hopes that I will get the right drug for me.....eventually! In the mean time I take advantage of the good times and hibernate during the bad times...... What else is there? This site is great though for getting you through. I wish you all the very best on humira, it really is a great drug. X

Hey Carole,

I've been on Humira injections for 3 months and it feels like it is ruining my life. I have no energy, the thought of getting out of bed in the morning seems like climbing up a mountain. I wake up and all I can do is yawn... a little physical activity and I'm asleep by 10pm at night.

I can't concentrate on my work, I have bursts of energy throughout the day and sometimes none at all. I've been to see the specialists and they keep making me do blood tests which show very little. I've pushed to change drugs as I can't put up this any longer.

And I'm only 30 years of age.
