These systems will disappear in time.

Just take it one day at a time.

You’ll be able to control your eating once you’ve surpass the cravings.

It all-just takes time.

Well done for being 5 days free.

Keep it going.x

Keep strong ! You will loose all the weight .One think that is going to help you is to exercise ! not only is good for your lungs to recover the damage but it’s also a great to control gain weight .just walk fast for 30 min a day .

Think how your health will be like for the rest of your life .and that is going to give you the courage .

Dying or suffering with lung and heart disease is deeply sad .Its your time and opportunity for a change .

Best of luck ! 👍

Definately can loose the weight later. I am nearly 8 months and now up to running 3.5 km most days and loving it. I think weight gain is only temporary and a lot easier to control. I have also found since cutting sugar and making sure I eat protein with every meal and lots of fruit and veg has given me a lot more satisfaction on feeling full and not wanting to eat. Find something else to focus on. Good luck

Welcome Sashi1 , congratulations on now over 1 week smoke free, congratulations! Hope you treated yourself for this massive milestone :P

Like others have advised, any weight gain can be addressed at a later stage if needs be when you are stronger in your journey. Don't be disheartened as EVERYONE gains some amount of weight as everything tastes and smell so good smoke free. Bear in mind, nicotine made your metabolism go faster and it does take time of it to settle down and get to that of an non smoker.

To help with this, avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods. Drink loads and loads of water, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Have a bit of walk daily to clear the head and burn off some of the tasty food :P

Looking forward to reading your progress....
