4 months quit and just now getting a good night's sleep. Hang in there.
Fingers crossed then lol x
Could be depression, nicotine has other substances in it that rare anxiety and depression. Maybe go see the doctor or get some magnesium glycinate it helps you sleep and lifts your mood.
Ummm I donโt feel depressed at all and I have suffered in the past so I am good at spotting the signs but thank you! I think itโs just related to medication and change of habit
You don't always feel depression it can go in in the background. When I quit I got depressed, a chemical called continine is in tobacco it acts like an anti depressant. You've been taking anti depressants and didn't know. But either way, it's a fact it's there and like you say it's probably your medication
Be strong with the quit though !!
Great to hear from you kezosb - sleep disruption is the most common nicotine withdrawal but the champix could also be playing a part in it, maybe trying taking the last pill earlier in the evening, avoid caffeine and unwind and relax around an hour before bed.
When I stopped (cold turkey), my sleep was disrupted for the first 12 weeks or so, your brain and body is gradually working very hard to rewire, repair and recover. Things will settle down soon. Also, try and get a bit of walk daily to clear the head,,,,
Hi Kezo; I quit Champix on Sunday (3 days ago) and last night was the first normal sleep I've had in two months. For me, it was definitely the Champix that caused me sleep problems. For others, it's just quitting smoking that causes them sleep issues. Hoping the sleep improves for you over time. Way to quit smoking!!
50 days smoke free now kezosb - how is things now?
