Hello KkAaTtEe

is this the first time you have tried Champix? I don't have any experience of it but there are a few here who have so they may be able to help you out.

Hello KkAaTtEe

You are not the only one who has had more than a few attempts to quit! Don't worry about it because what happened in the past, really does not have to affect the present!

You can do this. There are a few people on here who have used Champix so you are not alone.

Feeling anxious is normal when quitting. Just plod on, an hour at a time. ☺

Hi Katie. I've tried so many times that I actually lost count...it doesn't matter, firstly, every time you try, you are not smoking which is already a plus, you learn something new abt yourself and you'll be one day closer to be a non smoker :)

I stopped smoking with the champix too, it helps immensely, good luck and don't be anxious, one day at the time, you will get there :) xxx

I've had a few attempts too. But still keep trying and have now managed to quit for 76 days so far.

It is nerve racking in the beginning because you don't know what to expect but once you get past the 1st ciggie you normally have, then a few hours pass you realise you can do it.

I've never tried champix either but there will be someone here to help when you need it.

Good luck

Champix saved my quit!! I had to stop taking it sooner than expected but for a month-5 weeks it was my lifeline ❤️ That was almost 6 months ago. Positive mind and all of us in this forum you will do this. Breath deeply and focus on how easier it becomes everyday from your last smoke. You got this!!!!

Strength 💪

Welcome KkAaTtEe and congratulations on making the best decision of your life to quit :)

It is perfectly normal to feel anxious when we initially quit, but keeping thinking how great it is you have stopped smoking - positive attitude, support and determination is key.

Perhaps, let us know how you are getting on?

Hi There. I think all of us can relate to feeling anxious at the start of the quit process. I tried to quit several times before this last one and it's over a year now for me since I last puffed on a cigarette....And I love the freedom of being a non-smoker. Champix worked for me but I didn't use it in isolation. I also saw a quit smoking counseller, planned what to do when cravings hit (which they still did), kept a stop smoking diary, used NRT for the first 3 months. In a nutshell, do whatever gives you the greatest chance of success. And believe that there is a happy, fulfilled life after cigarettes. Good Luck.
