So as the title tells you that's how long I have been smoke free.
However my coughing is worse than ever. It's making me physically sick and my whole body aches!

Morning. Sorry to hear you arent feeling well. It could be just the normal withdrawal symptons you get or a bug that is doing the rounds. Either way dose yourself up. Pat yourself on the back as you have nearly managed a week. Something to be proud of.
Ive read lots of people get the quitting cough, it's all the junk coming out, someone on here cracked a rib they were coughing so bad after quitting! 😮
It will pass eventually and you will start to feel so much better, the smokers cough will be gone!
Good luck 🍀😁
I was surprised when my cough came back after a few weeks but then I found out it takes a few months for the lungs to clean themselves out. It does get better with time.
Selbyquin...Ouch, surely we all know that feeling...Hang on in there...It does get better !!
Hey Selbyquin - first big milestone tomorrow of 1 week
The coughing is perfectly normal at this stage - it was one of the strongest withdrawals I had and was quite scary and is a thought that will stay with me forever never to go back smoking as I coughed up alot of tar which was frightening to see what was coming out of my lungs but I took it as a good sign that they were clearing out - I also took a spoonful of honey (raw honey if you get it) every morning and night for the first 6 months of my journey as it assists with lifting the mucus etc in your lungs, also vaporizing with Eucalyptus oil or vicks once a week for a month or so....
