OK then I'm on day 7 and it's been murder. I've found that at work it isn't that hard as I'm constantly on the move. Today is my 1st day off and I'm going nuts.
Please some one tell me it will get easier.
40 years is a long time to try and break the habit.

Welcome gshark7970 and congratulations on Day 7, I promise it does get easier - you are in the thick of the mental battle, especially if you are doing it cold turkey?? For each day that passes smoke free, the stronger you will become, keep busy, lots of ice cold water and bit of exercise and read, read and more reading on quitting

7 whole days is amazing, I'm sure at the moment, it looks like a huge mountain to climb, but with good news. That mountain will be come smaller and smaller, the longer your quit becomes
