I love the good feeling when you start something new!
Really have got to sort my stomach out.... not going to docs, so my options are finding a diet that is beneficial to the innards , completely fed up with the bloating, pain and you guessed it wind (mostly trapped) oh yeah and the other embarrassing part of can't go
I realize some of this could be the champix, then again i have also read that it could equally be just giving up as the body slows down.... feels like pulling hair out in frustration,
This above could also be why i am feeling quite lethargic which is a bit of a downer on my new non smoky self.... off to scour the internet for help.
Any suggestion will be gratefully received!!!

LOL Yep there is absolutely no point in trying to act all ladylike right now... hubby mostly looks like this just lately he has been looking like this  but if he does it, i look like this  generally because he does it in embarrassing places like middle of crowded town, or in Tesco!
Sure its all cows.... could be quitters lol
Farmers fight cow farts to protect the climate
Gas emissions from flatulent, belching cows contribute to global warming. In an effort to protect the climate, French farmers are giving their herds feed that will reduce how often the animals belch and break wind.
Hi Spooks, I had terrible bloating and pain, with explosive toxic emissions! Mine was caused by sugar free sweets and gum! I would be munching on them all day but as soon as I cut them out I was almost bearable to live with again. I'm also eating high fibre cereals for brekkie, boring, but they seem to help with inactivity;)

Hi Spooks, I've heard that smoking is a laxative. It certainly used to do the trick for me anyway and I have noticed since I stopped that I have had some problems and have had to adapt my diet to help!
Foods high in fibre are good for when you're struggling on the toilet. Bran Flakes for breakfast is a good start, as well as switching to wholemeal bread.
Make sure you drink plenty of water, even if that means monitoring how many cups you have a day. It can really make a difference!
Bananas are also quite a soluble fibre and good for digestion.
Hi thanks for replies, just before i shoot to the shop, i would defo do bran flakes however foul they look, problem is i do not like milk... so the best i can do in morning is either banana on wholemeal toast, yummy even if sounds gross, or bowl or fruit and fibre with fresh orange juice (yes that does sound disgusting but needs must, actually its quite tropical)...
i did start another thread you may have already found it by now in diet and fitness or something akin, but if we stick tips like these things in there for others to see read and if they dare try, sometimes its as bad as not knowing just what to cook for my fussy family of 3 that my diet shifts towards shoddy and i dont think that is helping.
Thanks netti drinking water is something i never gauge so maybe i am not even getting enough, though i was up 4 times in the night, never had that before, perhaps i should drink slightly less just before bed
It could well be the Champix having an effect on your digestive system, Spooks. (Wasn't that politely put!:D) It certainly affected mine. Maybe have a word with your stop-smoking advisor about it next time you see him/her. Or could you have a quick word with him/her on the phone?
Well done on reaching Month 2! Treasure your quit and don't let your guard down!
I love this kind of post, I am still a kid (at heart) and anything to do with that just makes me giggle
Not that I don't feel your pain Spooks. I have suffer quite a bit of that but had not problems going (cannot believe I am saying this....) - I think mine has to do as it has been posted before with sugar free stuff as I am on the Dukan diet - not the best for fibre - and I am trying to make it bearable with sugar and carb free things that have laxative effects.
But I think that fibre, fruit, maybe an orange juice first thing in the morning or a glass of hot water with lemon might help.
I suffered quite early on with a...erm...disruptive digestive system....But happily, it seems to be settling down. I found the more I picked and indulged, the worse it became for me. Ive got acute IBS too, which didnt help and I was off work for two days with a really really "disruptive digestive system" lol. I found regular water helped, and natural yogurts too, and keeping food regulated, almost regimental I found made a huge difference for me, but then I have never been a big eater, or regular eater either...UNTIL NOW!!!!!
