Since I gave up smoking I am having trouble talking I feel I must put more of an effort into saying something. Can this be because I gave up smoking after 40 odd years ?

Hiya dodo, I wouldn't think it can be caused by giving up...but smoking for all those years may have something to do with it. But then again I'm not a doctor!

Have you seen your GP? I would make an appointment, put your mind at rest.
