If for what ever reason, you were told you absolutely must stop smokin, because ..................., for what ever reason, does any one think quitting would be easier ?
I have been quite ill, and realised with quite a shock I must stop, so for me at least, I now understand quitting is easier, just because I don't want the alternative

Yes I agree Tracey, I quit solely for my health. I woke up in the early hours on 17 September 2015, coughing and couldn't get my breath, it was so frightening and made me make the best decision of my life to quit. I will never forget that night and it is what keeps me going in my quit (coughing up of the tar in the first few weeks too!)
Yes . I got quite a bad chest infection last week and also woke up feeling I couldn't breathe. In a way it was a blessing as I couldn't hv smoked if I had wanted to..it kick started me to stop completely x
