Just arrived in month 4: a stone heavier, but never mind!
I've arrived!: Just arrived in month 4: a... - No Smoking Day
I've arrived!
Great going chickweed. What an achievement. I'm a month behind you and carrying the same additional weight to you.
Brilliant, well done!!!!!
Same, month behind and now working on that weight as well - the extra lung capacity, increased exercise, summer weather, I am hoping will do it.
BUT, better to not smoke!!!!
How fantastic, indeed that little bit of weight can be dealt with later.
A huge well done from me, doing amazing.
Keep up the great work, look forward to your up dates
Yay! Well done Chickweed
Thanks everyone.
I think everyone here should be proud: doesn't matter whether it is just one day smoke-free, it is such an achievement.
For anyone who has had a 'blip', so what. A blip is all that it is; don't feel disappointed or ashamed, just realise we're all human, we're all trying to do the hardest quit ever, and off you go again.
It is only giver-uppers who appreciate just what it means. If I were to tell a friend that I hadn't smoked for 4 months, she would just say 'well done' and carry on talking about something else. In fact I don't really say much to her about it as her husband (just 60 and a very heavy smoker) had a second stroke a month ago and is still in hospital. She is now able to take him a walk in his wheelchair: he always wants to go outside so he can smoke. I pulled a face the first time she told me . . . but I would have been exactly the same a few months ago, so now say nothing . . . quitters can be dreadfully judgmental.
So ... onward and upward everyone, and give yourselves a pat on the back for every cig you haven't had!
4 months is terrific Chickweed!!! and yes I agree only giver-uppers can really appreciate what we all are going through - that's what makes this forum so special
Well Done Chickweed. X I think the weight can be tackled later. I still need a bit of cake in some situations and I don't care. We are learning to adapt to not smoking 😝In a few months it won't be necessary. I can see already that I'm choosing healthier ways to cope with stuff. Keep going x
