Morning Tryer, indeed that day one can be a little nasty cant it? Well done you. Quitting smoking is booth mental and physical addiction, so booth need breaking. For many on here we did indeed use some kind of replacement to aid us in our quits, and yes you have to wean off later, but for me it worked.
Doing great don't worry to much about your e- cig, may be look at it like, when you were a child , you held you mummy's hand in the street, just untill you could manage on your own, nothing wrong wth that in my book.
Once again, well done
Hello Tryer nice to have you here. Day 1 is horrendous because we haven't got used to life without smoking, it gets easier over time when not smoking is the norm. I used an ecig in the beginning because NRT products are not very affordable here in Spain dearer than fags. I don't think I'd have got through cold turkey, some can some can't. Don't beat yourself up over vaping. I don't know which type you have, I have the pen type one where I can adjust the amount of nicotine I use. I used a moderate nicotine juice 12 mg nicotine for the first couple of weeks, then reduced it to 6 mg nicotine. I now only have 0 nicotine but I hardly use my ecig now. Only if I'm very stressed and in danger of smoking. I haven't yet got the courage to ditch it totally yet, but knowing it's there is definitely a comfort, even if I don't use it for days. I have promised myself I'll ditch it when I'm at 3 months. I currently am just short of 7 weeks quit now, and mostly happy in my quit. Keep posting and remember NOPE not one puff ever.
Tryer, for now, a day without smoking is a day without smoking, don't be beating yourself up about the ecig You're doing a great job, during the toughest of days of your quit. Well done!
As the days/weeks/months pass, hopefully you'll feel stronger and stronger, more in control, and better able to do without. You're on the road, regardless Be happy! xx
