Bought new bedding with money I've saved since quitting smoking. Yes, I know it's sad, just shows what an exciting life I lead when buying new bedding gives me a buzz! Anyway it arrived. It's sort of slinky to handle (or mishandle). Now, you know what it's like when you get wrong duvet corner into cover and you just end up with a knotty mess. Imagine that with slink added. Now imagine knotty, slinky and smoking quitty. Get the picture: for all those who remember Don't Forget Your Toothbrush - 'throw your duvet out of an upstairs window'. Sorry if you're too young or sensible to have watched that naughty redhead's cult gameshow. So I did. Didn't win a prize though. So here I am, on day 35, with duvet decorating the garden, two cats taking up almost all my space on the sofa, sipping green tea - which I don't even like but am trying to as it is supposedly good for me. BUT ... and here's the big one ... if this had happened 6 wks ago, I would have been in my garage fagging it, not squeezed on my sofa drinking some revolting concoction. I WIN - nic loses!
I'm so sorry, coz I can imagine you must have been really wound up, but this is really funny Chickweed! Hoorah for being able to look on the bright side though
Also, wow, DFYT, there's a blast from the past. And you do win a prize - here's a gold star from me, just for being brave and drinking green tea (as well as not popping out to the garage!) it's yuck, I agree. In fact, it's reminded me TFI friday, and the feature called 'I'll do anything to get on telly' or something like that...I remember one bloke eating HAIR CARBONARA! Green tea is only marginally more appealing
Well done on beating the stress today x
I hope my duvet post brought a smile to people's faces. That's what I intended - it was very much tongue in cheek - but couldn't find a 'laughing' smiley. I have now found a 'grin' one, so that will have to do.
