Got to write up a CV as agency said it was too brief, ha ha! Going to buy some trainers and do this couch to 5k, got to sort out some junk that's gathering in the trunk :)

It took me over 2 years before I really started to tackle the weight gain so you're way ahead of me :p

I decided on swimming for exercise, low impact and far easier on these old bones :)

Good luck with your CV, you can now put you're a non smoker :)

Annemarie thank you for your kind words. X time really flies, I was a smoker in November puffing away with no intention of quitting - shocking! X

Captain you are probably right re swimming, just that I end up looking like that chap from Kiss after a few widths. I may do swimming tho' as my back isn't great. Have put on a lot of weight in a short time, but think my appetite is settling down and don't feel as hungry. If for one moment by watching what I eat and exercising it put my quit at risk I would stop, I promise.x

Exercising has many benefits Caroline. It gets you fit, health and toned, helps you to lose weight but also releases Dopamine into your body which gives you that buzz, that feel good factor.

Smoking releases Dopamine too, but not in a healthy way. When we quit smoking we lose that Dopamine release and the feel good factor that goes with it, so exercising is a good way to replace it :)

I saw a cracking quote on here recently and I can't remember who said it, but it's stuck in my mind now...

"You can't out train a bad diet"

I've really taken that on board and the weight is coming off nicely :)
