You can all probably see that I have been a member of this forum since 2009. I joined many moons ago and had a successful 6 month quit....and then I fell off the wagon and didn't return.
So.....I'm back and determined that this quit will be my last (and there have been many)
I even became a secret smoker for 12 months. I dated a man for a whole year and hid my smoking habit from him. It cost me a fortune in breath mints, gum and perfume!! I even managed a 2 week holiday away with him and didn't take a single puff!!! But as soon as I was back in England I snook back to my sneaky puffing.
I used to smoke normal cigarettes and then started smoking menthols. This did get me off the normal ones ( I hate the taste of those now and could never go back to them) but I got impossibly hooked on my "lovely" minty fags.
I will post and I will post often as it helps to take my mind off the habit (you will all be sick of seeing my name lol) and knowing that others are going through the same thing or have made it to the Penthouse is motivating and inspiring.
I also have a little wine habit which for the early stages I am going to knock on the head too. This, for me, will be almost as hard as binning the fags. Bye, bye Rioja
I have now been a non-smoker for 7 hours and 10 minutes.

Well I don't think you are the first or last to hide a habit, but I bet you a penny or two, they knew you smoked.
So let's make this the quit that counts, let's make 2015 the year for you, just so many benefits, will never tire of any one posting we all have the same goal. Post away, just don't smoke
Gosh, 12 months as a secret smoker! So much work! Be a relief to give up cigarettes, I know for me it is lovely not to be held captive by the damn things. Post as much as you need, there is always someone to offer encouragement x
Join the club Penguin Power and welcome. I think a lot of us can identify with countless failed quit attempts, secret smoking and all the other excuses we give ourselves for hanging on to our addiction, I know I can.
In desperation I've taken to holding my breath and smiling through gritted teeth if I get a craving - I know it sounds as if I'm losing my sanity but it seems to have worked for the past 4 days.
As you will see I'm an oldie aswell, joined 2008 for a month and then went and didn't return until 2012, been battling ever since so as Karri said you are defo not alone chuck, we will all get there this time x
