and isnt it amazing how you forget your anniversary
shows that there is life after smoking
even though in the beginning you couldnt see that  or ever think it was possible

4 years. Congrats.

I am so glad it does! You can do this, you really can. You will forget. And one day in the distant future, if you do suffer an odd crave it will only be seconds and even if you promise yourself you'll go smoke in a minute when you're not busy, you will find it might even be a couple days before you remember you were going to smoke.
You will forget. It does not dominate your life forever. Give your body the chance to show you it doesn't want any cigarettes, any more!
Thats fab 4 yrs thanks for popping back x
Thank you I am glad I did. This place helped me SO, SO much!
4 years. Congrats.
Thank you, Mike

Ah, Carol, thank you!!! It's great to be here, to have so much power/control, over nicotine!!
No, you don't think it is possible in the beginning. You tell yourself, like a mantra, "it will get better", but you don't believe it. You can't see how something that has such a strong hold can be forgotten.
... but it is!
Hi Titch,
Yes.. it IS amazing! Not me, but the distance between that last puff and now. The things that time does, is amazing!
You CAN do this, even on the hard days because after a while, they all go away. Then you live and ENJOY the very air you breathe.
You WILL forget. I know that's the burning question and I am happy to answer that question, finally!! You WILL forget!
Thank you for your post.
Wow 4 years is amazing! Not remembering the anniversary is a good thing, I'm guessing smoking isn't really on your radar at all now? massive congrats and thanks for sharing it's great when long term quitters pop in, gives us newbies a real lift xx
Thank you, DonnaJ,
I try and remember to come back here on my anniversary at least. This place had a massive part of helping me through some tough moments.
I suppose you could say that smoking is way off my radar now. It DOES get easier with each day, and as I said, you will forget.
I'm not saying you'll go crave free, it's just that the craves are so few and far AND only last a couple seconds, like a passing thought that has no effect on you anymore.
Y'all are doing fantastic, you really are! One more day. Twenty four MORE hours distance between you and that last puff. The bigger that space gets, the less room you have for cravings/ciggarettes in your thoughts.
Oh well CausticCat, that's fantastic. Lovely to hear from someone who quit so long ago :)
hi nicky39 and thank you
Keep taking those cleansing deep breaths and you'll be here before you know it too! You're doing great!
