Brilliant Feels good, doesn't it Lyds?
Welcome to the cult...I mean forum! It's a wonderful place, full of wonderful people.
You sound like you've got your mind in the right place.
My experience so far makes me think that 99% of this quitting malarky takes place between the ears. Stay positive, stay determined, and stay strong.
You've beaten one crave. From now on it's simply a case of rinse and repeat!
Well done, and congratulations on your decision to quit

Welcome and huge well done!!
How are you quitting? There's someone here who is doing it the same way I'm sure
It's so good to beat those nasty craves isn't it?
Thanks everyone...so glad my friend recommended this site to me!!! Finally others that understand and know how I'm feeling (phew).
Currently going cold turkey. I know it's going to be hard and during the major crave I had earlier I felt terrible! Blood was boiling...n I just felt like omg why am I quitting?! I like smoking!!! But I know it's just the addiction trying to get the better of me!!!

Wow, I'm impressed you going CT!!
And you've definitely got the mental part sorted - seeing smoking for what it is!! Good luck
Welcome Lyds!
I will repeat what I always say- I have nothing but awe and total admiration for anyone who quits CT. I just couldn't have done it and as far as I am concerned it demonstrates how tough and determined you clearly are.
A huge well done to you- nearly Day 2 already! I think you're going to make it and will look forward very much to reading about your progress.

Thanks to Skiddaw, Jenny, Max and all of you that have shared such kind words and support to me today!!
feeling so good and very proud I've managed over 21 hours and have only had 1 real craving!!!!
Realised how strong and how willing I am . The only thing is; my jaw is killing me!!! Lol, have been chewing gum for hours now!?!?!
Another funny thing is that I wanted the remote control that was beside my partner and instead of saying remote I did the action of smoking a cig!! LOL...I remembered that I no longer soke anymore and realised if I did, although I wanted the remote I would have still took the cig n I would have smoked anyway!!!!
Well done Lyds. You are STRONGER than your own weakness. We all are. xxxx
