Happy Monday

Got my first nights sleep for a few days now so feeling a bit fresher this morning :D. Nothing much to report which is good right?

Today turned into the day from hell To cut a long story short, the care package wasn't put in place for my mum today, someone from ILS arrived at lunchtime and said 10 minutes was all they had been asked to do and thereafter followed a stressful debate with my sisters about how we are going to deal with this. Everyone is stressed and tired :(. I've had to go put my head under the duvet for a couple of hours as its been a horror of a day, plus I've had to deal with work! I am beginning to wish I hadn't quit right now, the timing is terrible and I am worried I will lose my focus. Feeling low tonight

I know Just letting off steam I guess :(. I am just fed up and feel like everything is plotting against me right now. I need to snap out of it, tomorrow will be better fingers crossed. Thanks Debbie.

What a nightmare Linda, huge Cornish cuddle heading your way! Unfortunately when it comes to obtaining the right care for an infirm relative it seems to be necessary to create merry hell, and repeat the process several times, before you can get what's needed. They were originally going to drop my 78 year old great uncle on my grandmother to care for after his strokes, we had to create major ructions with the Social and his own GP before we finally got approval for proper care. Relax, refresh and recharge tonight hon and tomorrow give 'em hell!

I agree...

The more fuss you create the more they have to listen and you should demand proper help and care for your relatives !! ......its not the same as parents/grandparents but I have had an uphill struggle with getting some help with and for my daughter who is now a teenager with extra needs ....and the list of so called specialists I still sometimes deal with on a day to day basis is unreal .....and oh my god the stress some days !! ....but yes there is no ideal time to stop .....i think you just know when you are ready and do it :D:D......Hope things improve soon x

I remember the shennanigans we had trying to sort out my father's care package. If it gets too difficult check if you have a local branch of the Princes Royal Trust (carers centre) as they're brilliant on things like that.

Hope you managed to get some sleep and that things look brighter today.
