Sore Gums and teeth

Since about Friday I've had really sore gums and teeth. They've been bleeding quite a bit since I've given up. I'm going to have to find a dentist tomorrow to have a look as I'm really scared that I'll lose teeth

I know this topic has been done before but is it common for this symptom to come about after 2 weeks? Am really scared about what the dentist is going to say...
